A few days ago I installed Crouton on my Chromebook Pixel, after a couple hours of scouring the internet and following several guides. Here's a summary of the steps that I followed:
- Enable dev mode in chrome OS
- Install crouton with Ubuntu Trusty + Unity, keyboard, sound and touch support:
- sudo sh ~/Downloads/crouton -t unity,keyboard,audio,touch -r trusty
- Change resolution and set it on each start (mostly needed for Chromebook Pixel)
- Adjust brightness with the `brightness` console command
- Switch scrolling direction to natural
Fine method of telling, and enjoyable article to acquire factual statements.
